24 police officers shifted in Punjab

In a major reshuffle, Punjab government today transferred 24 police officers, including eight from the IPS cadre, in the state.

Among the transferred officers are eight of the IPS cadre and 16 from Punjab Police Service (PPS), a spokesman said.

They included officers of IGP, DIG and AIG rank, he said.

Kuldeep Singh has been posted as IGP Community Policing and Training, while Anita Punj becomes IGP Provisioning.

BK Bawa has been posted as IGP Human Rights, Balkar Singh Sidhu as DIG Administration, R K Jaiswal DIG Ropar Range and Inderbir Singh as AIG Personnel.

Harbhajan Singh has been posted as AIG Crime Wing, Ashwani Kapoor becomes new AIG Punjab Police Control Room (PPCR), Ashok Baath, Bhupinderjit Singh Virk, Harmohan Singh and Swarn Singh AIG Intelligence Wing.
