246 cadets to pass out from OTA tomorrow

Around 246 cadets, including those from other countries, would passout from the Officers Training Academy tomorrow in the presence of Vice-Chief of Army staff, Lt Gen Philip Campose.

A passing-out-parade would be held commemorating their farewell, which would be reviewed by Campose, who will also present the Sword of Honour, Gold and Silver medals to the meritorious cadets, an official press release said here today.

As a preliminary to the parade, the cadets undertook a combined display, including horse riding, para sailing, aerobics, and the martial arts form of Kalaripayattu at the Army headquarters today.

For the first time, they performed a drill movement without a verbal command and the audience was treated to show jumping, tent pegging actions, para sailing and aerobics demonstration, it said.
