24X7 power supply possible if pilferage, theft is checked:UP

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhllesh Yadav today expressed angusih over incidents of power pilferage and said if people refrain from "katia" connections and pay their bills then round the clock power supply can be ensured.

"If people stop using katia connections and pay their bills on time then 24 hours power supply in the state can be ensured," Yadav, who was here to meet Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, told reporters.

The CM said that SP government was committed to the development and upliftment of villages and poor.

Criticising the BJP government at the Centre, he alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi failed to fulfill promises made during Lok Sabha elections last year.
 

The CM had a 45 minute-long meeting with the Dalai Lama.
