25 bogus teachers booked in Mathura

Police have registered a case against 25 teachers for allegedly using fake education certificates to get employment.

While an FIR was filed against 25 candidates for presenting bogus documents, show cause notices were issued to another nine erring candidates," Mukesh Agrawal, Principal at District Institute of Education and Training said.

Their appointment of these teachers has also been cancelled, he said.

He said that the police will now investigate the role of staff that had checked the certificates of the candidates.

Agarwal did not rule out the involvement of staff of District Basic Shiksha Adhikari in the case.
