25 passengers fall sick on board of East Coast Express

Around 46 passengers boarded the train from Hyderabad at 10 AM. When the train was nearing Vijaywada station around 10 passengers from the group complained of vomiting and loose motions after consuming the food they had brought along with them, they said, adding all of them were attended to at the railway station and allowed to board the train.

Similar complaints were reported by another 15 passengers belonging to the same group when the train was approaching Rajahmundry railway station at around 7.35 PM, police said.

The affected persons were offered treatment at the railway hospital and allowed to travel, they said, adding the train got delayed by about 45 minutes.
