A 25-year-old youth was killed
when he was shot at by some persons in Shikohabad area, police said today.
The incident took place last night when Navir, who owns a betel shop near Etah trisection in Shikobahad area, was shot at allegedly by one Subham Yadav and two others over some dispute, Superintendent of Police (SP), Ajay Mohan Sharma said.
Navir was rushed to a hospital in serious condition where he was declared brought dead, he said.
Later, an irate mob, including family members of the victim, tried to torch the house of the alleged accused.
The police reached the spot and controlled the situation.
Heavy force has been deployed in the area, police said, adding, search is on to nab the assailants.
