A 25-year-old man was found dead in a pond in Gauspur village here, police said.
The body of Najwar, bearing injury marks on the neck, was found from the village pond under Sinhawali Police Station area last night, Police Station Incharge Ashok Yadav said.
The family of the deceased has alleged that Najwar's wife got him killed as she had an illicit relationship, Yadav said.
The wife of the deceased has been taken into custody for questioning, he said, adding, an FIR has been lodged against the wife, her brother, and father.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
