A 25-year-old woman, hailing from Delhi, was allegedly raped by an occultist at Ganga ghat here, police said today.
The woman, a resident of Jahagirpuri in Delhi, was brought here by her uncle for treatment by occultist Bantola as she was not keeping well, police said, adding, she was allegedly raped at Kuchlaghat Soro on the night of August 31.
After the woman informed her husband about the incident, he, along with other family members, caught hold of the tantrik and handed him over to the police, they said.
A case has been registered and the accused has been sent to jail, police added.
