Two persons were taken into custody on charges of possessing a large number of CDs and DVDs, including those of newly released Tamil films here today, police said.
Based on a tip off that CDs of new films are being circulated, police raided a house in Saramedu on the outskirts and recovered about 250 CDs and DVDs, which included recently released Tamil films Ajit starrer Vethalam and Thoongavanam of Kamal Hassan, police said.
Two persons, identified as Abu Dahir and Sarbuddein and present in the house, were taken into custody for questionning about the source of supply of pirated CDs, they said.
