Police today seized 250 quintal ammonium nitrate from a truck on Chakai-Deoghar road in Bihar's Maoist-hit Jamui district, official sources said.
During a search in a truck that overturned on road, police recovered the explosives contained in sacks with each weighing 50 kg, the sources said.
District Magistrate S K Tiwari and Superintendent of Police Deepak Barnwal were present at the time of seizure of the ammonium nitrate, they said.
