Over 25,000 devotees paid obeisance at the Chandi Mata temple in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir during the annual Trishul Bhaint Yatra.

"More than 25,000 devotees paid obeisance at the famous Chinote temple here today during the annual Trishul Bhaint Yatra here," an official said.

Traditionally, Trishul Bhaint Yatra is an annual affair which was earlier celebrated every year on July 1, but this year the fair was postponed so that the Foundation Day of the temple can be celebrated along with the Yatra.

"To avoid inconvenience to the pilgrims who come here not only from Jammu and Kashmir but from other states as well, we decided to postpone annual Trishul Bhaint Yatra so that the Satphna Divas (Foundation Day) of this Temple can be celebrated together," Kulbir Singh, head priest of the temple said.
