At least 26,903 Brus belonging to 4,568 families in five Tripura relief camps have been identified as bona fide residents of Mizoram till last evening, Additional Secretary for Mizoram's home department Lalbiakzama today said.
Lalbiakzama said that the identification process was completed in four relief camps - Kaskau, Hamsapara, Khakchangpara and Asapara.
The repatriation process, which commenced from Tuesday last at Naisingpara, the largest relief camp, was scheduled to be completed on Friday, however, remained incomplete.

Lalbiaksangi said that the identification would began at Hazacherra relief camp, the last camp to be covered from tomorrow, if the process is completed today.
While the entire identification process was scheduled to be completed yesterday in accordance with the Road Map-V for Bru Repatriation, the physical repatriation was scheduled to commence from November.
State home department officials opined that the physical repatriation might be deferred.
Meeting of the Joint Monitoring Group comprising of officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mizoram and Tripura state governments and representatives of the Bru refugees in the six relief camps on Thursday in Delhi is likely to finalise the proposed repatriation schedule.
