Twenty-six talented children have been shortlisted to play in front of national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand at his academy in Hyderabad.
The children, in the 7-11 age group, will undergo the next round of evaluation of the IDBI Federal Quest For Excellence Young Champs badminton programme on April 21, a release said today.

They will be evaluated on a number of parameters including their on-court performance, fitness, attitude, agility and footwork, it said.
After the evaluation process, a few selected kids will be picked to undergo further intensive training at the academy under the guidance of Gopichand and his team of coaches, the release added.
"While going through the entry videos, it was amazing to see so much passion and talent amongst the children today.
"We hope to continue to nurture and channelise this passion, and groom the talented children into better and fitter sportspersons through the next stages of the IDBI Federal Quest For Excellence Young Champs programme," said Gopichand, a former winner of the All England Open Badminton Championships.
