A 26-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling hook in her sister's house here, police said today.
Poonam allegedly committed suicide last night at her sister's house where she moved in yesterday evening with her five-year-old son, Sub Inspector at Karni Vihar Police Station Mani Ram said.
"She left her husband Ganesh, a resident of Tonk, and was staying at her parent's place along with her son for the last five to six months and yesterday moved in with her sister ," Ram said, adding the reason for the suicide is not clear.
The body has been handed over to family members after postmortem. The matter is being probed, he said.
