Twentyseven persons were injured when their bus hit a road side tree near Vaitheeswarankoil in the district today, police said.
The private bus carrying 40 pilgrims were returning from Kanchipuuram to Mayiladuthurai when the mishap occurred, police said.
The injured were rushed to Mayiladuthurai government hospital, police said.
