27 medical college students expelled for role in MPPEB scam

Twenty-seven students of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) medical college were expelled today for their alleged involvement in the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam in the Pre-Medical Test (PMT).

The college authorities said here today that these 27 students had cleared the PMT-2012 allegedly through fraudulent means after which they were expelled from the college on the directives of the Medical Education Department.

The 27 students were part of 286 candidates who cleared PMT-2102 through fraudulent means and were identified by the Special Task Force (STF) probing the scam, college sources said.

These 286 students had taken admission in different government medical colleges of the state, sources said.
