Twenty-seven SAD workers, including two former ministers, have been booked on charges of stopping the police from performing duty at a gurdwara in Kahnuwan area, the police said today.

The case was registered against them yesterday, they said.

The police said that personnel were deployed at the Gurdwara Ghallughar to stop SAD workers from going towards it and maintain law and order.

However, they forcibly made their way to the gurdwara, they said.

The police was deployed at the gurdwara following a clash between two committees of the local Gurudwara Pranadhak committee.

Among those who were booked, included former SAD ministers Sewa Singh Sekhwan and Sucha Singh Langah, the police said.
