A 27-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide along with her child by jumping into a canal in Gilaula area, police said today.
Beena, who was allegedly being harassed by her in-laws over a property dispute, tied the 7-year-old child to her body and jumped in the canal yesterday, they said.
The bodies were recovered after three hours of search, police said, adding that a case has been lodged against three persons including Beena's husband.
