A 27-year-old youth was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a truck in Naubasta area here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday night when the victim Monu Awasthi had left his house on a motor-bike, they said.
A speeding truck hit his vehicle from behind near the Vishwabank square in Naubasta area here, killing him on the spot, they said.
The driver of the truck fled from the spot and efforts are on to nab him, police said.
The truck has been impounded, police said, adding that the body has been sent for postmortem.
