28.52% students pass Matriculation Supplementary exams

At least 4,500 more students turned matriculates in Odisha this year as stated in the Matriculation supplementary examinations results declared here today.

The annual examination was held in February this year and its results were published in April.

Out of some 18,000 students, who had wished to sit for the Supplementary examination, a little over 16,000 wrote the papers in the examination that were held last month.

Of these only 4563 students cleared the examination successfully, registering a pass percentage of 28.52.

Last year the pass percentage in this particular examination was less than 25.

Soon after declaration of results, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President D P Nanda informed that the original pass certificates and mark sheets of Supplementary examination would be made available to the pass students at their respective schools by July 20.
