A 28-year-old man was beaten to death by unidentified persons after a fight broke out during a marriage ceremony in Taharpur village here, police said today.
The incident ocurred last night when a fight broke out among some inebriated persons while dancing during the marriage function, Senior Superintendent of Police Saharanpur Nitin Tiwari said.
In a fit of rage, the accused youths beat Mukesh Kumar with an iron rod which led to his death, he said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, the SSP said, adding that a search is on to nab the accused.
