29 child labourers rescued

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) today rescued 29 child labourers and arrested three human traffickers in this connection from Darbhanga railway station, a RPF officer said.

Acting on a tip off, the RPF personnel rescued 29 child labourers from Delhi-bound Swantantrata Senani Express and arrested the three traffickers accompanying them, RPF Inspector Ajay Prakash said.

The children were being taken to Haryana to work in a factory, he said adding, four of these children hailed from Madhubani district, while 25 others belonged to Supaul district.

The rescued children, aged between 10 and 16 years, have been handed over to a remand home and their kins informed about it, Prakash said.
