29 monkeys drown in water tank of defunct factory

29 monkeys today drowned in a water tank on the premises of a defunct factory in Khalilabad area here.

The incident occurred this afternoon when a number of monkeys entered the premises of the building in an industrial area. The simians fell into a 15 feet deep tank and drowned, forest department sources said here.

The bodies were later fished out from the tank by the forest department team.
