In all, 29 passengers were injured, some them seriously, when an Akola-bound state transport bus from Aurangabad turned turtle near Mathni diversion at Khamgaon town in the adjoining Buldhana district today morning, the police said.
Ten injured, including the bus driver, were shifted to the civil hospital for medical treatment.
State transport depot manager Anant Shende at Akola enquired about the injured and paid Rs 1,000 as ex-gratia payment to each of those injured.
The bus driver did not maintain a safe speed and continued at high speed resulting in the accident, passangers alleged.
