2nd International Festival of Buddhist Heritage begins in Leh

The second International Festival of Buddhist Heritage of Ladakh began here today, with hundreds of delegates from across the world attending the inaugural ceremony held at the Sindhu Sanskrit Kala Kendra.

The three-day festival will throw light on different aspect of Ladakhi Buddhist culture and organise folk dances, chants by renown artists and meditation seminar.

Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, which was also attended by Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Urban Development Nawang Rigzin among others.

The festival is being organised by Mahabodhi International Mediation Centre, Leh in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism department, Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Leh, Ladakh Buddhist Association and All Gonpa Association.
