Three suspected Al-Qaeda militants, who were given a task to plant explosives at a shrine, have been arrested in a raid in Pakistan's Punjab province.
The police in collaboration with the intelligence agencies raided the hideout of the suspects near the shrine of Baba Farid Ganj Shakar in Multan district yesterday and arrested three of them.
"The suspects who belong to Al-Qaeda were given a task to plant explosives at the shrine," the officials said, adding the suspects are being interrogated.
Explosive material and other weapons have also been recovered from them. The police are looking for their other accomplices.
