Three persons were arrested for allegedly trying to abduct two businessmen in Sahibabad area of the district, police said today.
Nitin and Ashok, who have separate businesses in Vaishali and lived in a rented accommodation in Lajpat Nagar, were abducted from their house on Sunday.
On a complaint of their family members, police promptly swung into action and intercepted the car in which they were being taken away, Sahibabad police station SHO Haridayal Singh Yadav said.
The three abductors were also arrested. They were identified as Jogendra, Jatin and Vinit -- all residents of Karkardooma in Delhi.
Police suspected that the trio had some old enmity with Nitin and Ashok.
An FIR was lodged under relevant sections of the IPC, the SHO said, adding that the trio were sent to jail.
