Three people were arrested in Gautam Buddh Nagar for allegedly planning a robbery, police said Tuesday.
The trio was arrested late Monday night from Dalelgarh area which comes under the jurisdiction of Dankaur police station, they said.
The accused persons were identified as Rashid, Amit and Devendra, all from Dankaur, the police said.
"Working on a tip off, the police last night held the three men from near a tubewell in Mahendra ka Bagh in Dalelgarh while they were planning a robbery," a police official said.
A country-made pistol with bullets and two knives were seized from them, the official said.
They were booked under IPC Sections 398 (attempt to commit robbery or dacoity when armed with deadly weapon), 401 (punishment for belonging to gang of thieves) and under provisions of the Arms Act.
The three men were earlier booked under the provisions of the stringent Gangster Act and the Goonda Act, the police said.
