Three people were arrested for allegedly robbing two men after barging into their house with weapons in southwest Delhi's Kishangarh area, police said Tuesday.

The incident took place on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

According to a complaint lodged by Piyush Sethi and his friend Rahul Kuma, four men barged into their house and threatened them to handover all the valuables.

The accused men opened fire at Sethi and Kuma when they tried to resist the robbery bid, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Devender Arya said, adding that

they narrowly escaped the gunshots.

The four men later locked Sethi and his friend Kuma in one of the rooms and fled away with two mobile phones, two wallets containing cash worth Rs 4,500, one LED TV and one Wi-Fi router, Arya said.

Based on the complaint, police analysed the CCTV footage of the area and identified the accused men.

Three out of the four accused persons were later arrested from the Nelson Mandela road here, the DCP said, adding that two semi-automatic pistols, five live cartridges and one mobile phone were seized from their possession.

Those arrested were identified as Mohammad Raja Ullah (32), Altaf Ali (24) and Mohammad Sahil (20), residents of Sangam Vihar, he added.
