Three persons, including Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad's former state general secretary, were arrested today in connection with the alleged killing of a 25-year-old man in Vrindavan area here, police said.

"The body of Sanjiv Saraswat of veterinary college campus was found on March 4," SP City Ashok Kumar said.

He said Saraswat was strangled with a rope as his brother Bittu was allegedly in a relationship with the sister of the two accused.

When Bittu eloped with their sister, the brothers - Kanhaiya alias Vikas and BJYM leader Akash Chaudhary - began searching for her.

They, along with Nadeem and history sheeter Vikram, confronted Saraswat and asked him to tell them the whereabouts of Bittu and their sister. They tortured him and , later, strangled him to death, Kumar said.

While the trio - Akash, Vikas and Nadeem have been arrested, the hunt is on to nab Vikram and a woman Anjali, he added.
