3 bike riders injured by jackal in Malda

Three bike riders were injured in an attack by a jackal when they were returning home in Malda district, police said.

Naeem Sheikh, Deepen Roy and Anikul Sheikh were injured when the jackal pounced on them.

The three motorcyclists who were returning home after loading consignment in a truck at Mahadipur land port, were thrown off the four-wheeler due to the impact of the attack, the police said.

The incident occurred at Kanchantar area within English Bazar police station limits yesterday.

After receiving the information, their relatives went to the spot and rushed them to Malda Medical College and Hospital.

The jackal escaped after the incident.

 

The injured are receiving treatment at the Malda Mecal College and Hospital, the police said.

The incident has created panic aming the locals.
