3 BJP leaders attacked by miscreants in Bishnah

Three BJP leaders, including a sarpanch, were today injured when some miscreants allegedly attacked them soon after a rally of party candidate Ashwani Sharma in Bishnah area of Jammu.

"Sarpanch Vijay Saini, who is election in-charge of BJP's candidate from Bishnah Assembly constituency, his brother Subash Chander and party activist Sat Pal were attacked by some miscreants soon after a public rally got over in Chakra village," a police officer said.

In the attack, Saini received severe injuries and has been admitted to Government Medical College Hospital here.

"Our team is still in the hospital recording the statement of the victims. We will register a case as soon as the team returns," the officer said.
