A case has been lodged against two women and an autorickshaw driver for allegedly abducting a three-month-old infant of a migrant worker.
According to police, Shashikala dealt in selling utensils in exchange for clothes. Yesterday, the three accused took her and the baby in an auto promising her some clothes.
Upon reaching a locked house, she suspected something suspicious. She started walking back home when one of the women who was accompanying her snatched the baby and fled in an auto, police said.
Police has started investigation into the matter.
