3 brothers get life in jail for killing man

A special Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe court in Bundi today sentenced three brothers to life imprisonment for murdering a 33-year-old man in Talera town of Bundi district.

It also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on each of the three convicts to compensate the deceased's wife.

Amarjeet Singh, a resident of Talera town in Bundi district, was murdered on April 24, 2016 by Ashok Jinger (34), Arun Jinger (24) and Hempal Jinger (21) hours after a scuffle that erupted when Singh's car hit a bench outside the tea stall of three convicts' father.

A case under section 147 (rioting), 148 (Rioting being armed with deadly weapon) and 302 (murder) of IPC was lodged in this connection against the three brothers at the Talera police station.

 

Special judge Koshal Singh today sentenced the trio to life imprisonment, special public prosecutor (SPP) Mahendra Sharma said.
