With the arrest of three men, Delhi police today claimed to have busted a gang of chain snatchers active in South Delhi.
Rizwan alias Rehan (22), Tahir (24) and Mamnun alias Rahul (21) were arrested yesterday.
A stolen bike, four snatched gold chains (including two pieces of broken chains) and one mobile phone was seized from their possession, according to police.

"The team, on a tip off, laid a trap in the area of R K Puram and overpowered two persons who were identified as Rizwan and Tahir while they were riding a motorcycle. On search, three snatched gold chains and one mobile phone was recovered from their possession," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) B S Jaiswal.
Further verification of the motorcycle revealed that it had been stolen from Kalkaji area.
Later, on the disclosure of the arrested duo, their third accomplice Mamnun was also arrested from Saket.
During interrogation, it was revealed that accused Rizwan was earlier involved in 11 cases of snatchings and dacoity. He was active in crime since 2009 and had previously been arrested by Haryana and Delhi Police in snatching cases, said Jaiswal.
