3 Chinese, 1 Nepalese arrested with illegal foreign currency

Four persons, including three Chinese nationals, were today arrested in Nepal as they were heading towards Khasa, Tibet with illegal foreign currency.

They were nabbed at Barhabise in Sindhupalchowk district while traveling in a private car bearing Nepali registration number, according to the police.

The arrestees were identified as Chinese nationals Hong Quong-Li, Guang Yu-li and Dong Fang-hang and the car driver Prem Shrestha, a Nepali national.

Police confiscated USD 24,700, 63,210 Chinese Yuan, Nepali bank notes worth Rs 43,000 and amounting to Rs 900,000 drawn in the name of different banks, the police said.
