3 CRPF personnel injured in elephant attack

One of the men was seriously injured when the Pachyderm attacked him after he fell down as the CRPF personnel ran helter skelter on seeing the elephant.

Two trainers who rushed to his rescue were also attacked and suffered minor injuries, police said, adding the elephant went away after CRPF men raised an alarm.

All three have been admitted to a private hospital.

The men were among a group of 20 CRPF personnel from the training centre at Kurudampalam, about 20 km from here.
