The decision was taken at a review meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma, on administrative preparations ahead of the festival, an official release said here today.

All control rooms were asked to be alert and keep a watch on social media and ensure installation of CCTVs and video-graphing on procession routes, it said.

Verma held video conference with deputy commissioners and superintendents of police of all districts on maintaining peace during the festival.

She asked them to maintain special vigil on processions taken out in the districts, particularly sensitive ones like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih, Bokaro, Gumla, Chatra, Garhwa, Dhanbad and Lohardaga on the festival day.

Verma also asked the officials to ensure that processions maintain the scheduled route without any change, the release said.
