3 dead after in wooden house blaze

An woman and two children were killed when a four storied house was gutted after a cooking stove bursted yesterday in Hanumandhoka Old Palace area in Kathmandu.

According to the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle the deceased were identified as Devkala Magar (55) Sanjiv Sivakoti (3) and Rajiv Siwakoti (7). They added that the fire spread rapidly as the house was primarily made of wood.

Two fire engines and a water tank had to be deployed along with the army and additional police personnel to bring the situation under control.
