3 dead in separate incidents in Raj

A history-sheeter was among three persons who were found dead today in separate incidents here, police said.

In Vidhyadhar Nagar area, Himmat Singh, a history-sheeter was shot dead in broad day light after two assailants opened fire at him outside a complex, police said.

He was rushed to the SMS hospital where he succumbed to the severe head injury, the police said.

In the second incident, an unidentified man was found dead along a roadside in Mansarover area in the city this morning.

"It appears that the man was killed somewhere else and the body was dumped near Ramchandra Circle here," SHO Mansarover Hemendra Sharma said.
 

The body was spotted by morning walkers and has been shifted to SMS hospital for postmortem, he said, adding efforts are on to identify the deceased.

Meanwhile, a man in Churu district was found charred to death in his car.

"Primary investigation reveals that some people put the car on fire. Victim Satyaveer, who was inside the vehicle, was charred to death in the fire," SHO Salasar Sandeep Vishnoi said.

It is still unclear whether he was alive or first murdered when the car was put on fire, Vishnoi said.

The victim was a resident of Haryana and his family members have been informed, he said.
