3 dead in separate road accidents in Kanpur

Three persons, including a girl student, died in separate road accidents in different areas in the city, police said today.

Imrana (19), a BA final year student, who was to be engaged with Naseem just after a week, was travelling along with him on a bike in Naubasta area where a speedy truck, coming from opposite side, hit them yesterday, a police spokesperson said.

Both were admitted to a nearby hospital by local people but doctors declared Imrana brought dead while the condition of Naseem is stated to be serious, he said, adding, the truck driver has been arrested.

In another incident, Raghuveer Yadav (47), who was riding a bicycle, died after being rammed by a tractor in Gurudev Palace Cinema area here yesterday, he said. The driver fled the scene after the incident, he said.
 

While, in the third incident, Mahendra Kuril (30) died on the spot after a truck collided with his road roller which he was driving, he said. The driver fled the spot, the spokesperson said.

Police has sent the bodies for post mortem and started probe into the incidents, the spokesman said.
