Three Delhi Prison officials will be conferred President's Correctional Service Medal for their contribution in various facets of jail administration on Independence Day, officials said on Wednesday.
Sanjay Gupta, Deputy Superintendent, has been selected for President's Correctional Service Medal for 'distinguished service' for his contribution in framing of Delhi Jail Manual Rules, 2018 and establishment of jail of young offenders along with providing training to newly recruited warders, an official statement said.
Shahid Ahmed and Ravindra Kumar, Head Warders, have been selected for President's Correctional Service Medal for 'meritorious service' for their contribution in establishing "Better Life Pre-school" in jail number five and also motivating a large number of prisoners to undergo various educational courses and skill development programmes, it said.
