At least three people were killed and 16 others injured when two speeding passenger jeeps collided at Aralia in Sipahijala district, about 25 km from here, the police said today.
IG, Police Control, Nepal Das said, "Two speeding jeeps from opposite directions collided last evening in which one person died on the spot and 18 others were injured. Two other injured people died of their injuries at Agartala Government Medical College here late last night."
The condition of the ten injured are stated to be serious.
The police seized both the vehicles but the drivers have been absconding.
