3 doctors suspended for being absent from duty

Three district hospital doctors were today suspended by Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Narottam Mishra for remaining absent from duty without informing their higher-ups since last two years.

Gynecologist Rekha Malviya, medical specialist Sanjay Malviya and surgeon Narayan Singh Vaish were suspended by Mishra when he paid a surprise visit to the hospital, District Hospital Civil Surgeon R G Kaushal told PTI.

During his visit, Mishra, who was accompanied by local MLAs interacted with patients and asked them about facilities and healthcare available to them.
