In campus violence, three girl students of a corporation school here fell ill after fire extinguishers were broken in a clash between two groups of students today, police said.
The girls were taken to a hospital for first aid after they complained of giddiness on inhaling gas from the broken fire extinguishers.
Trouble arose when some senior students pulled down the furniture in classrooms and broke the fire extinguishers, police said.

While it was claimed that a section of students were demanding action against a teacher for alleged misbehaviour with them, police said that previous enmity between two groups of students led to the trouble.
Some students were picked up for questioning to ascertain the motive beind the incident, they said.
