Congress chief Rahul Gandhi today appointed former legislators Mamta Bhupesh and Sharda Rathore, and, Onika Mehrotra, a former chief of Delhi Mahila Congress, as general secretaries in the All India Mahila Congress.
Gandhi also appointed Indrani Mishra and Chayanika Uniyal Panda as Mahila Congress secretaries, AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said.
The Congres president cleared the appointments of new Mahila Congress chief in Kerala, Lathika Subhash, in Mumbai Ajanta Yadav and Anita R Sharma for the Chandigarh unit, he said.
The party also cleared the name of Shambhu Singh Patel as the Congress candidate for the Bhabua assembly seat in Bihar where bye-elections are being held, he added.
