A local court today awarded life imprisonment to three men for murdering a mother-son duo while robbing their house in 2009.
Additional district and sessions Judge Arun Kumar Pathak held Naseem, Mohan and Hukuma guilty of killing 58-year-old Bitana Singh and her 25-year-old son Nankannu in Gokul Nagar locality on October 19, 2009 and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
The victims were murdered when they resisted the convicts' attempt to rob their house.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 7,000 on each of the convicts.
