Three persons were sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for kidnapping and murdering a baby boy.
Fast Track Court (FTC) judge R P Singh held the three -- Bimal Nonia, Dhirendra Nonia and Mithu Malik -- guilty in the abduction and murder case of an 11-month-old baby and awarded life term to them, besides imposing a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convicts.
According to Additional Public Prosecutor Rajendra Kumar Mishra, the trio had abducted the baby boy from his house in Bankota village under Balrampur police station area on August 30, 2012 and murdered him after his family failed to meet their ransom demand for Rs 10 lakh.
