Three government employees, including an executive engineer, were today held for allegedly taking bribe to perform their duties.
The accused were arrested in three separate cases.
Ram Kishan Sharma of the Public Health Engineering Department posted with the Municipal Corporation of Hisar was caught by sleuths of Haryana State Vigilance Bureau while taking bribe of Rs 50,000 from a resident of Sunder Nagar in Hisar for issuing a work order letter, a spokesman of the Bureau said.

In another case, Power Board employee Som Nath posted at Babain in Kurukshetra district has been caught by the bureau while taking Rs 7,000 from a resident of Bhir Mangoli village in lieu of installing an electric meter, the spokesman said.
In the third case, Rajesh Kumar, a clerk of the Haryana Urban Development Authority posted at Bahadurgarh in Jhajjar district, was caught while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 from a person in connection with transfer of his plot, according to the spokesman.
Cases under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act were registered against the accused at Bureau police stations in Rohtak, Ambala and Hisar, he added.
