Three people, who allegedly barged into the office of a construction contractor with swords and firearms, were arrested in Gautam Buddh Nagar, a police official said Wednesday.
The accused persons, identified as Rakesh Goswami, Monu Giri and Sonu Singh, were held Tuesday, he said.
"On August 25, Goswami, Giri and Singh had stormed into the office of Vinod Kumar, a construction contractor, in Kasna area. They were brandishing swords, sticks and firearms and had gone there with an intention to loot Kumar," the official said.
"Kumar was seriously injured in the attack," he said.
A case was registered at the Greater Noida Police Station under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and under the provisions of the Arms Act.
Goswami belongs to Hapur district while Giri and Singh hail from Bulandshahr, the official said.
The weapons used in the crime were seized and the three men were remanded to judicial custody, he added.
